Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Shelby County, Texas. The job is at a road and highway construction project. On a typical shift you will keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels. Ideal candidate: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
