Earthmoving equipment operator — Contra Costa County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Contra Costa County, California. You will work at a road and highway construction project. Your main tasks: • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels Requirements: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
