Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in City of Kingston upon Hull, England. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Six days a week, one day off.
