Great opportunity: we are hiring a head butcher in Green County, Wisconsin. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; season and marinate meat on request; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
