Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Kalkaska County, Michigan. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. You will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
