Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances You should have: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
