Great opportunity: we are hiring a scaffolding supervisor in City of Colonial Heights, Virginia. The job is on a bridge maintenance job. Day-to-day duties: • Plumb the standards and level the ledgers with a spirit level • Fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform • Install ladder access and ladder gates between the lifts • Dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely • Hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope You should have: • Knowledge of safe loading, bracing and tie patterns • Awareness of TG20 and SG4 safe working practice • Good head for heights and comfortable on open platforms Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
