Gas installation technician • City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas installation technician in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off.
