You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation.
