Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in St. Clair County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Six days a week, one day off.
