Site safety steward — County Durham

We are recruiting: we are hiring a site safety steward in County Durham, England. You will work at an oil and gas facility. On a typical shift you will investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Full-time with occasional weekends.
