Sand plant operator • Stone County, Missouri

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Stone County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
