Sand plant operator wanted in Medway

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Medway, England. Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time with occasional weekends. £2,050 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
