Steel fixing chargehand • Dare County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Dare County, North Carolina. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
