Brick and block layer • Kings County, California

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Kings County, California. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
