Immediate opening: we are hiring a security officer in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. The job is in a corporate office building. The role involves: • Control crowds and manage queues at events and entry gates • Check fire exits, locks, gates and seals during rounds • Respond to intrusion alarms and panic alerts • Write up incident reports after any disturbance • Keep watch on the perimeter fence and parking area • Detain shoplifters or trespassers and hand them over to police You should have: • Valid PSARA / security guard licence • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
