Immediate opening: shuttering carpenter (North Carolina)

Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Swain County, North Carolina. Day to day you will strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing 1+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
