Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Van Buren County, Michigan. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
