Immediate opening: we are hiring a baker in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. Your main tasks: • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Food handler / hygiene certificate At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
