Join our team: we are hiring a counter butcher in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers On the job you will handle: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Season and marinate meat on request We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits.
