Requirements: • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage On a typical shift you will shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull.
