GTAW welder • Franklin County, Pennsylvania

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
