Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Cuming County, Nebraska. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings You will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
