Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Solano County, California. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
