Counter butcher wanted in Wexford County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a counter butcher in Wexford County, Michigan. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry On the job you will handle: • Season and marinate meat on request • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Full-time with occasional weekends.
