Milling machinist — Grant Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Grant Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a busy machine shop. The role involves set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
