Immediate opening: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in City of Fairfax, Virginia. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish.
