Urgent requirement: lift mechanic (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift mechanic in City and Borough of Leeds, England. You will work in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Day-to-day duties: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards 1+ years on the tools preferred.
