Great opportunity: stainless steel welder (New York)

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Niagara County, New York. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
