Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Six days a week, one day off.
