Now hiring: blocklayer (Sokoto State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Tureta, Sokoto State. You will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
