The role involves: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 1+ years on the tools preferred.
