Elevator repair technician — Cambridgeshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Cambridgeshire, England. You will be based on a high-rise construction site. You should have: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Your main tasks: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Six days a week, one day off.
