Metal caster wanted in East Dunbartonshire

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Rotating shifts.
