Steel erection rigger — East Carroll Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles You will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; read lift plans and method statements before starting; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
