Lift mechanic • Bedford County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Bedford County, Virginia. The job is at a busy lift company. Day to day you will install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox. You should have: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
