Immediate opening: we are hiring a press setter operator in Grand Isle County, Vermont. The job is at a white goods manufacturing plant. Requirements: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout On a typical shift you will watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; record output and downtime on the production sheet; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
