Vacancy available: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Vermilion County, Illinois. The role involves: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand Requirements: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits.
