Reinforcement steel fixer • Staffordshire, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Staffordshire, England. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. On a typical shift you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
