Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
