Fabrication workshop technician wanted in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. You will be based at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash. You should have: • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. £3,050 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
