Sewing machine operator wanted in Blackburn with Darwen

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Blackburn with Darwen, England. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown The role involves: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
