Urgent requirement: tig welder (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
