Immediate opening: precision welder (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height You will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
