We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Itesiwaju, Oyo State. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
