Immediate opening: pipe TIG welder (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Karnes County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer 2+ years on the tools preferred.
