Garment presser — Montgomery County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Montgomery County, Mississippi. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits.
