Day to day you will clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts.
