Laundry presser • Talladega County, Alabama

We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Talladega County, Alabama. You will work at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
