Precision welder • Troup County, Georgia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Troup County, Georgia. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
